What's going on this week?
Here's where to catch a show, and where the stage stays dark a little longer as the island settles into shoulder season.
The Muse
It's a marquee week at The Muse. Motion City Soundtrack plays Thursday, September 24, with doors at 7 PM and the show at 9 PM — the only ticketed show in the building this week, so if pop-punk nostalgia is your thing, that's the night to plan around. The Minneapolis band's latest record, released after a long hiatus, has been drawing strong crowds on this tour, and Nantucket's stop is no exception. Nothing else is scheduled Monday through Wednesday or Friday through Sunday, so it's a one-night, plan-ahead kind of week at this venue. Looking just past this week, Mike Campbell — the longtime Heartbreakers guitarist — and the Dirtyknobs play the following Monday, September 28, if you want to get that one on the calendar too.
Cisco Brewers
The outdoor stage at Cisco Brewers keeps its usual free, no-cover, food-truck-and-live-music rhythm all week, rain or shine (there's covered seating if the weather turns):

Two sets most weekend days, one set on weeknights — still the most reliable place on the island to catch live music without planning ahead. The complimentary shuttle keeps running Wednesday through Sunday if you'd rather not worry about parking.
The Chicken Box
Still dark for September 21–27 — nothing new posted since last week. The next confirmed show is Maxxtone, October 9–10, so it's a longer-than-usual wait for a Box show this time around. Worth checking their Instagram before heading over in case something gets added last-minute, since the Box has a habit of booking shows on short notice once the calendar opens back up.
Brotherhood of Thieves
The Surf Bar picks back up toward the weekend: North County plays Friday, September 25, and again Saturday, September 26, both at 8 PM. Nothing posted yet for Sunday through Thursday as of this writing — check the venue's site for late additions, since the Surf Bar schedule tends to fill in closer to the date rather than all at once.
The Dreamland
No live concerts on the Dreamland's calendar this week — it's a film-and-screenings week on both the Main and Studio Theater schedules, with new releases like The Uprising, Practical Magic 2, and Resident Evil rotating through, alongside the Golden Age Films series and a Film for Thought screening. The next confirmed live show on their calendar is the annual Stroll Party featuring the Hess Twins, December 4, on the Second Floor — mark the calendar now if that's your kind of night.
