Does Nantucket have cannabis dispensaries?
Yes. Nantucket has two licensed cannabis dispensaries — ACK Natural and The Green Lady. ACK Natural is Nantucket’s only dispensary with on-site cultivation, the only licensed medical cannabis facility on the island, and is owned and operated exclusively by Nantucket locals and year-round residents, not a chain.

What are your hours?
Hours may vary by season. But generally are 10-7, Friday and Saturday 10-8. Check our contact page for current hours.
Do I need an ID?
Yes. You must be 21 or older with a valid government-issued ID.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Yes. Walk-ins are welcome.
Can tourists buy cannabis on Nantucket?
Yes. Anyone 21 or older with valid ID can purchase cannabis.

Is cannabis legal in Nantucket?
Yes. Cannabis is legal in Massachusetts for adults 21+.
Can I smoke in public?
No. Public consumption is not allowed.
Can I use cannabis on the beach?
No. Cannabis use is not allowed in public places like beaches. A lot of people do, if you choose to, be respectful.
Can I bring cannabis on the ferry?
No, it is illegal to bring off the island.
Can I smoke in a rental house or Airbnb?
Check with the property owner. Many rentals prohibit smoking.
Can I walk around with cannabis?
Yes within legal limits, but you cannot use it in public.

Does ACK Natural grow its own cannabis?
Yes — and no other dispensary on Nantucket does. ACK Natural operates an underground cultivation facility right here on the island, making us the only on-island cannabis grower. Our locally grown products include ACK Natural live rosin vapes and our tincture line: Awake, Asleep, and Chill.

Is ACK Natural a medical cannabis dispensary?
Yes. ACK Natural is the only licensed medical cannabis facility on Nantucket. We serve both adult-use customers (21+ with valid ID) and registered medical patients. Medical patients should bring their medical cannabis card.

Can I bring cannabis to Nantucket from another state?
No. Transporting cannabis across state lines is illegal under federal law regardless of whether both states have legalized it. The Steamship Authority also prohibits cannabis on board. Purchase from ACK Natural after you arrive on the island.
Can I bring cannabis to Nantucket?

What ID do I need to buy cannabis on Nantucket?
Any unexpired, government-issued photo ID showing your date of birth: driver’s license, state ID, passport, or military ID. Temporary paper IDs are not accepted. You must be 21 or older.
