Step 2: ACCOMMODATIONS Are you looking to stay in town within walking distance of the restaurants and bars, or is the crew more of a quiet and remote group looking to enjoy serene island views? Step 3: FOOD There are numerous places to eat on island, but making a reservation is always a good idea for any size group as restaurants fill up fast.
Breakfast: Island Kitchen, The Downyflake, Cru, The White Elephant. From local island favorites to quintessential brunch spots, each one is not to be missed.
Lunch: The Tavern, Slip 14, the food trucks at Cisco Brewers, 167 Raw Food Truck, Fairgrounds Restaurant. These are all the perfect eateries to grab a midday snack so you can you actually make it to your dinner reservation.
Dinner: or, the Whale, Straight Wharf Restaurant, bar YOSHI, Club Car, Ventuno. All can hold their own against any restaurant across the country.
Step 3: TRANSPORTATION Depending on your group size, Uber, Lyft and taxis are all great options. Here are some island favorites- Val’s Taxi, Canty’s Cab, Clyde’s, Judy’s, All Point, Old Salt . Click here for a list of all taxis on island.
Don’t be shy about Riding the Wave. It is often difficult to get a Uber or taxi on island, especially during the height of the season. The Wave is always right on schedule, air conditioned and can hold up to 20 people. And they even have free WiFi! If your rental is by a pick-up spot, take advantage of the premium location, and ride the Wave. Pro-Tip: Download the Rider app for a live update on the Wave’s location so you know exactly when to grab it.
Step 4: BIKE Island is super small, and biking is not a bad idea considering how much a little exercise could really help you work off all the festivities. There are many curated bike paths all over the island making biking safe and easy. Young’s, Cooke’s Cycles, Easy Riders, Island Bike Rental. All will be glad to drop off and pick up bikes at your rental property.
Step 5: CANNABIS Go to Ack Natural. If you and your crew are looking for some cannabis during your stay, head on over to Ack Natural. The island’s premier cannabis dispensary, Ack Natural has some of the best cannabis products on Nantucket. Edibles, chocolates, flower, vapes, drinks and much more.
Step 6: BEACH The beaches are amazing all year round. Nobadeer is perfect for the party scene. Cisco is the spot for surfers and sun. The Sandbar at Jetties is always rocking. The beach is clean, calm, beautiful, and the drinks at the bar are a blast. Ladies Beach is a great local spot and a hidden gem. The Nude Beach at Miacomet…’nuff said.
Step 7: BREWERY Cisco Brewers is the place where you can easily have one of your top 10 days of the year. Great live music, amazingly fun staff, tons of food. Cisco Brewers is a must for every Nantucket bachelorette party. If your crew is there around closing time, head up to the wine bar where spontaneous dance parties seem to happen every afternoon. Once you have imbibed, you can always leave your bike rentals there and take the free shuttle back to town!
Step 8: MUDSLIDES Depending on what time you have dinner reservations, you have to hit the Gazebo in Harbor Square. Great place for crushing frozen drinks, meeting cool people and singing along with the crowd.
Step 9: BAR-HOPPING There is no particular order needed. Just do it. The Nautilus, Back Bar, The Proprietors, BYB, The Rose and Crown, The Charlie Noble, Tree Bar, The Gaslight. You simply cannot go wrong at any of these places in any order. Just go with the flow!
Step 10: MUSIC There is no better place to get your groove on than The Chicken Box. Live music, packed dance floor, awesome staff. It’s impossible to have a bad time there.
